Prevention Effect of LAB from Kimchi on Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Based on Gut Microbiota

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of probiotics in kimchi on gut micrebiota and liver lipid levels in NAFLD mice. Methionine-choline deficiency diet was used to feed C57BL/6J mice, and a mouse model of NAFLD disease was successfully constructed and used as the research object. Commercial kimchi as the raw material, the probiotics were isolated and identified, and then further cultured to obtain 107 cfu/mL concentration of the bacteria solution. The model mice with hepatic liposis were divided into the natural recovery group and the experimental group,PBS and bacterial solution were given by gavage, the control group were given PBS. The feces of the mice were collected every 2 weeks to detect the diversity of the flora. The results showed that the strain isolated from kimchi was identified by the molecular biological characteristics of 16S rDNA as Lactobacillus plantarum. And the content of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in feces could be significantly increased(P<0.05)while reduce the number of Enterococcus,Enterobacter and Bacteroides fragilis after intragastric bacteria in hepatic lipid mice. HE staining showed that the liver lipid content and fat particle size in the experimental group were lower than those in the natural recovery group. Blood test showed that the contents of glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase, alanine aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase in the experimental group was significantly lower(P<0.05)than the natural recovery group;serum triglycerides and total cholesterol levels were higher than the natural recovery group. Conclusion:The probiotics isolated from kimchi could significantly improve the intestinal flora disorder and abnormal liver lipid levels in NAFLD mice.
