Abstract: With the increasing need for a better life and the improvement of people undefineds cognitive level,the public gradually put forward the requirements of the right to know and to participate in risk decision-making. Therefore it makes the significance of risk communication more prominent. Risk communication,as an effective means to prevent food safety risk in advance,has become a powerful guarantee for the government to carry out food safety emergency management effectively. Based on the four-stage theory of emergency management,this paper analyzes the current situation of food safety risk communication in four stages,meanwhile puts forward the emphasis and goal of food safety risk communication in each stage. It provides a reference for government departments to carry out effective risk communication,enhance public understanding of risk information and finally achieve the goal of rebuilding the public trust of food safety.
