Science and Technology of Food Industry is a Chinese academic journal sponsored by both by both China National Light Industry Council and Beijing Industrial Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd, which publishes research papers and frontier reviews on food and its cross fields.
Sci. Technol. Food Ind. is a semimonthly publication targeted both domestically (CN 11-1759/TS) and internationally (ISSN 1002-0306). As an Outstangding S&T Journal of China, Sci. Technol. Food Ind. has been indexed by various databases including CA, FSTA, JSTChina, CSTPCD, RCCSE, SinoMed, China Core Agricultural and Forestry Journals A, China Science and Technology Papers Online, CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP Data, Chaoxing Data, Bookan Data, and other important international and domestic retrieval systems or databases.
1 Scope of publication
1.1 The research fields include: Research papers and frontier reviews in food and its cross fields.
This journal requires that the research papers should be innovative and complete in content, and the frontier reviews should be forward-looking and instructive. We welcome papers which combine experiment with theory, have strong innovation, high academic value, have enough food and biological connotation, and can arouse more extensive interest.
1.2 This journal emphasizes the relevance between the research content and food science, and the papers should pay attention to the mechanism behind the phenomenon.
1.3 Columns of this journal include: Research and discussion, bioengineering, technology, food safety, analysis and detection, packaging and machinery, food additives, storage and transportation, nutrition and health care, review.
1.4 In addition to the academic level, the writing level of the paper is also an important indicator to measure the quality of the article.
The writing quality of the paper directly affects the recognition and citation of the article by the readers, and the articles with poor writing quality are not included in the acceptance scope of this journal.
2 Copyright and academic norms
2.1 The author shall transfer the copyright of the manuscript (including the copyright of various media and media) to the editorial department at the same time. The author must abide by the academic norms and guidelines, and shall not submit more than one manuscript to prevent plagiarism and plagiarism.
2.2 All the authors who have signed the paper should have made substantial contributions to the work of the paper and be responsible for the article. It is strictly forbidden to name people who have nothing to do with the paper.
2.3 Before submitting a paper, it is necessary to ensure that all authors are informed and agree to the order of the signatures and co-authors, and all the authors must review all the research contents of the manuscript, so as to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results and put an end to academic misconduct.
3 Submission requirements
The editorial department does not accept paper manuscripts, and the authors should submit their contributions on the journal website www.spgykj.com. Please refer to the paper template. Any manuscript which does not meet the requirements will be rejected.
In order to facilitate the editors and reviewers to make a correct judgment on your work, please briefly explain the main innovation of the article in the article.
3.2 Chinese and English title, abstract and author's unit
The title should be concise and accurate, and abbreviations should not be used. The abstract should include research purpose, research methods, experimental results, conclusions, etc. Abstract should not be a simple repetition of the conclusion, and formula, references and abbreviations should not be used as far as possible.
This journal attaches great importance to the writing of English abstracts, which are more detailed and specific than Chinese abstracts. The number of words is generally 200~300, including research purposes, methods, results and conclusions.
The full name and postal code of the author's unit in both Chinese and English must be given.
3.3 Key words in Chinese and English
Please pay attention to select accurate key words which can reflect the main content of the article, so that more peer readers can retrieve and reference your article.
There should be 5~8 key words in Chinese and English, which should be listed after the Chinese and English abstracts and listed according to their importance.
A well written introduction can help readers quickly understand the research background of the article and arouse their interest. The writing suggestions of the introduction include a summary of the background of this research field, a description of the existing research results, a statement of why more or further research is needed, and a description of the purpose and innovation of the author's research. Finally, the proposed research content of the article is generally required.
3.5 Materials and instruments
Introduce the manufacturer, batch, purity and vitality of the materials involved in the experiment; Introduce the models and manufacturers of main instruments. The pictures is necessary for self-developed equipment.
3.6 Methods of experiment
Clearly introduce the related content and parameters of the experiment conditions and design, so as to ensure that readers can repeat your work.
3.7 Results and analysis
Results and analysis are the most important parts of the paper. The results are introduced and described by means of graphs and tables. The analysis part should include: What the results mean; appropriate, in-depth and sufficient mechanism analysis and explanation; linking the results with the previous research purposes or hypotheses to clarify the importance of the results; comparing and evaluating the results with other existing theoretical or experimental results.
3.8 Conclusion or discussion
The important points of this study should be summarized based on the research results and analysis , and a very clear conclusion should be got as far as possible. For each conclusion, the evidence is necessary. At the same time, you can also point out the shortcomings of this work and the prospect of the work to be carried out. Please note that you can not simply repeat the abstract and the introduction.
3.9 Foundation items
Articles supported by foundation items should clearly write the full Chinese name and approval number of the relevant foundation items, and shall mark them with the form of footnotes at the front page.
3.10 Abbreviations, symbols and legal units of measurement
Abbreviations, symbols and legal units of measurement should fit in with international standards in the paper, which shall be consistent in the whole text. Abbreviations should be given full names in both Chinese and English when appeared for the first time in text , at the same time followed by abbreviations and enclosed in brackets. Abbreviations can be used directly instead of full names in the rest of the paper.
3.11 Illustrations, photos, tables
In the paper, the illustrations are numbered according to the order of they appear, and the pictures are directly inserted in the corresponding position of the text, and the title and annotation of the figure should be marked below the figure. When there are partitioned graphs, the graphs should be labeled with a, b, c, etc.
The table is in the form of a three line table (auxiliary lines can be added if necessary) , which placed in the corresponding position of paper. When the units of the whole table are consistent, the units are placed in the upper right corner of the table.
Figure and table titles should be in both Chinese and English. The text in the drawings and tables should be in Chinese. The coordinates of the drawings and the item columns of the tables shall be marked in the form of "physical quantity symbol (unit symbol)". The names and symbols of physical quantities in the drawings and tables must be consistent with the text, and should not appear words, numbers or symbols which not explained in the text or have nothing to do with the contents of the text.
3.12 The formula is numbered in Arabic numerals in the paper, enclosed with () and placed on the right side of the formula.
According to the principle of "up-to-date, important and necessary", there are no less than 25 in research articles and no less than 45 in review articles; the proportion of foreign literature should be more than 30%; the proportion of literature in recent five years should be 50%.
When a reference is cited in the text, the reference number must be indicated with a superscript. If it is written as "document [ ]", it shall be arranged horizontally with the text, and the order shall be listed according to the order in which the citations appear in the text. The same document cited multiple times should not be numbered repeatedly.
4 Review and publication cycle
From submission to employment, the article needs to go through the preliminary examination, peer review, review by the editorial department, and final reviewed by the chief editor. The period of expedited review is 2 months, but 3 months for non expedited paper. The period from submission to publication is generally 10~12 months, and that for urgent publication is 6~7 months.
Other research contents related to the manuscript can be uploaded in the form of compressed package in the supplementary materials when submitting.
The supplementary materials can be the details of the research results, the description of the research process and methods, sub achievements, expansion results, experimental data and experimental videos. These materials will help the peer review and reader's in-depth reading. After the publication, the articles can be placed on the journal website or the official WeChat official account together with the articles as supplement to the article.
