Primary evaluation for the safety of chromium threoninate chelate

To evaluate the safety of chromium threoninate chelate preliminary, we did the 30-day feeding study in SD rats.The results showed that during the trial period, each dose group and the blank group were generally in good condition, no abnormal symptoms and signs and no toxic death were observed.Body weight, food intake and food efficiency of male and female rats of each dose group showed no significant difference with the blank group.Haematological parameters, blood biochemical parameters and weights of organs of male and female rats of each dose group showed no significant difference with a blank group after killed.It concluded that chromium threoninate chelate has no significant teratogenic effect on the growth, development, metabolism and organs of SD rats.
