    Abstract
  • Tobacco essential oil is a complexity of tobacco secondary metabolites.It is mainly consisted of volatile and semi-volatile compounds.As an important source of tobacco characteristic aroma compounds, tobacco essential oil is mainly used as spices in cigarette blends nowadays.This paper mainly introduced the research progress of concept, chemical composition, extraction technology, analysis method and application of tobacco essential oil.The development prospect in these fields was also explored.
