Determination of Cu, Zn, Mn, Pb and Cd content of kiwifruit fruit of the main cultivars in the major kiwifruit production area of Shaanxi province

  • The metal elements Cu, Mn, Zn, Pb and Cd of four varieties of kiwifruit collected from ten main producing areas of kiwifruit production base in Shaanxi province were detected and analyzed respectively using flame atomic absorption spectrometric method. The results showed that the detection rate of Cu, Zn and Mn was 100% and Pb was 13. 64%, but Cd was not detected in Shaanxi kiwifruit. Moreover, the content of Zn exceeded the national standard among all the samples while the content of the rest was lower than the limited amount of the national standard for fruits. The content of those varieties was highly of difference from variant varieties to different producing areas. Zn content exceeded seriously in partial samples of producing area No. 2 as well as in parts of Qinmei kiwifruit. Attentions should be paid to the pollution resulting from Zn.
