Purification of saponins from corn stigmas by macroporous resin

To study the best conditions of saponins purification from corn stigmas, two type of macroporous adsorptive resins, AB-8 and D101 were selected to study the influence of static adsorption and desorption on eluting effect, and its characteristics of static dynamics was investigated.Meanwhile, the influences of elution solution concentration and elution velocity on eluting effect were studied.Results demonstrated that the adsorption and desorption of D101 was better than that of AB-8, with the elution velocity 0.5BV/h, the elution solvent 50% alcohol, the effect of elution separation achieving its best.The purity of saponins increased 3.1 times under these conditions of purification.
