Study on successive extraction of non-starch polysaccharides from bulb of tiger lily (Lilium lancifolium Thunb.) with water and pectinase

  • Extraction conditions of lily non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) with water and pectinase were optimized in this study. Firstly, the extraction condition of lily NSP with water was determined using Box-Behnken design and analyzed by response surface methodology (RSM) . Subsequently, NSP from the lily bulb residue left by hot water was extracted with pectinase, and the results of extraction condition optimization was obtained by the orthogonal optimization experimental system. The result indicated that the optimum condition as follows: extraction temperature 62℃ , extraction time 4h and ratio of water to raw material 19∶1, and then the lily bulb residue left by hot water was extracted with pectinase when the pH value, the concentration of enzyme, the extraction time and the temperature were 5.5, 1800U/g, 20min and 30℃ , respectively. Under this condition, the NSP yield was 8.63%.
