Breeding of high pectinase-producing strain by “Shenzhou Ⅷ”craft-boarding treatment

  • The strain Aspergillus awamori 40499 was aboard in “Shenzhou VIII”spacecraft to carry out space mutation, and 168 mutant strains were isolated. Among them, 5 high pectinase-producing strains were obtained after preliminary screening using I 2 staining method, and re-screening by liquid fermentation test, they were named HP26-2; HP37-5; HP39-1; HP45-1; HP48-3, respectively.The activity of pectinase produced by HP26-2 was the highest, reached 17.162U /mL, which was 1.26 times higher than that produced by wild strain. The pectinase continuous-producing ability of HP37-5 and HP39-1 were stronger and more stable, they were producing pectinase steadily in the period of 60~132h fermentation.
