Establishment of a kinetic model for γ-polyglutamic acid with batch fermentation

  • With high yield γ-PGA strain Bacillus subtilis HCUL-B115 as experimental strain, batch fermentation in 5L fermenter.The concentration of cell, residual glutamic acid and sugar content, γ-poly glutamic acid were determined in the process of fermentation.The kinetic models for cell growth, poly γ-glutamic acid production and substrate consumption were proposed with MATLAB software.The results showed that the models could provide a reasonable description for the batch fermentation of poly γ-glutamic acid.
