Research progress in the extraction method of pectin

  • As one important extract from natural plants, pectin is widely applied in medicines, food and chemistry.In this paper, the physicochemical property of pectin and its application were introduced. And besides that, the research progress on the extraction of pectin in recent years was reviewed emphatically. Compared with the traditional extraction method, advantages and disadvantages of other new extraction methods were discussed.Key points to be improved and development perspectives of the extraction for pectin were proposed, which was expected to provide references for pectin extraction.
