Microwave- assisted catalytic synthesis of cyclohexyl cinnamate by solid superacid catalyst

  • The cyclohexyl cinnamate was synthesized from cinnamic acid and cyclohexanol using solid superacid SO2-4/ Ti O2/ La3 +as catalyst with microwave- assisted.The type of catalysts and dosage,the molar ratio of cinnamic acid and cyclohexanol,microwave power and microwave time were explored by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. The results showed that optimal conditions of cyclohexyl cinnamate,when the solid superacid SO2-4/ Ti O2/ La3 +dosage was 1.0g,the molar ratio of cinnamic acid and cyclohexanol was 1 ∶ 4,microwave power was 600 W,and microwave time was 15 min,the yield of cyclohexyl cinnamate was up to 97.5%.The method has advantages of simple operation,mild reaction conditions,save time,high product purity,it is a high efficient and environmental method for the synthesis of cyclohexyl cinnamate.
