The Misgurnus anguillicaudatus meat bone paste on antioxidant ability in mice

  • The effects of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus meat bone paste on antioxidant parameters in mice were investigated in this study. Mice were randomly divided into four groups:control group, model group,low-dose and high-dose misgurnus anguillicaudatus meat bone paste groups. The 500 mg/kg·bw D-galactose were injected subcutaneously into the naps of mice to induce aging model except the control group. Mice in the control group were injected with the same dose of physiological saline. Misgurnus anguillicaudatus were made into meat bone paste. The mice of low-dose and high-dose groups were given by gavage with Misgurnus anguillicaudatus meat bone paste solutions of 100 mg/kg·bw and 500 mg/kg·bw respectively. Meanwhile, mice in control and model groups were given by gavage with the same dose of physiological saline. Plasma and liver samples were used for determination of antioxidant parameters. In the model group, the activities of plasma superoxide dismutase(SOD) and liver catalase(CAT) were significantly decreased compared with the control group(p<0.05),and there were no significant differences among the control group,low-dose and highdose groups. In the model group, the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) in plasma and liver were significantly increased compared with the control group(p<0.05),while there were no significant differences among the control group,low-dose and high-dose groups. Plasma glucose concentrations in the model group were significantly lower than in the control group( p <0.05), and there were no significant differences among the control group,low-dose and high-dose groups. While this experiment also indicated that giving Misgurnus anguillicaudatus meat bone paste had little effect in high and low density lipoprotein in mice,no significant differences were found among the four groups.
