Food safety incidents and corporate social responsibility reconstruction of Japanese Megmilk Snow Brand Corporation: a longitudinal study

  • The 13 th National Five- Year Plan proposed the establishment of food safety strategy to achieve “strict and efficient social cohabitation.”However the existing literatures on how food companies implement social responsibility strategy and promote the study of corporate social responsibility( CSR) reconstruction are still insufficient.In this paper,a longitudinal study of MEG- Milk was conducted.First,the connotation of corporate social responsibility and its influencing factors were analyzed theoretically. Then,the food safety incidents and its CSR reconstruction process were investigated. Finally,based on the above theoretical and practical summary,the management suggestions on how to promote the corporate social responsibility and regain the people's trust in our country were put forward.
