Study on the dynamic mechanical behaviors of egg using fluid-structure coupling approach

  • Based on the modal experiment and sound measurement, the 1st order mode of the egg wad defined as the parameters of the egg structure dynamic analysis. The finite element method of fluid-structure coupling was used to obtained the response of the egg dynamic behavior.Based on the simulation, the comparative study was carried out to find the relationship between the 1st modal frequency of whole egg and the egg composition parameters. The results showed that among the components of the egg,the SI,shell thickness, shell stiffness and egg white density had great influence on the 1st modal frequency. The egg SI and the 1st frequency of whole egg were consistent with the mass-frequency law.The 1stmodal frequency of whole egg was increased by 300 Hz with the eggshell thickening of 0.05 mm,the relationship was linear. The 1st modal frequency of whole egg was decreased by 430~850 Hz with increasing of 1 × 10~10 Pa of the eggshell modulus, the 1stmodal frequency of whole egg was decreased by 100~300 Hz with increasing of 100 kg / m~3 of the egg white density, those two had nonlinear effects on the dynamic parameter.
