Optimization of extraction of polysaccharides from Baccage Sedge using papain by response surface methodology

  • Based on the single factor experiments, the response surface methodology ( RSM) was employed to optimize the extraction conditions of polysaccharides from Baccage sedge using papain.The results of optimum extraction conditions were as follow: enzyme amount 0.3%, enzyme time 1.0 h, p H6.5, temperature of 50 ℃. Under these conditions, the average extraction yield was 28.47%.The optimization of Baccage sedge extraction process technology was reasonable and feasible.
