Protective effect of two kinds of sea cucumber polypeptide on kidney of diabetic rats

  • Objective: In order to further use Apostichopus Japonicas and Acaudina Molpadioide, the regulating effect of Apostichopus Japonicas and Acandina Molpadioide on kidney index and biochemical indexes in type Ⅰ and Ⅱ diabetic rats were studied.Method: Based on Ⅰ and Ⅱ diabetic rats model, all of the rats were fed 7 d to adapt the environment, then divided into prevention group and experimental group. The diabetic model was established by streptozotocin intraperitioneal injection, plasma glucose, serum and tissue biochemical indexes were examined.Result: Compared with the model control group, prevention and treatment group can significantly reduce the FBG, GSP. It can also improve the level of oral glucose tolerance and significantly reduce the BUN, CREA, TC, TG, Alb and LDL-C and increase HDL-C. Conclusion: The two kinds of sea cucumber peptide can significantly improve the glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ diabetic rats, so as to achieve the effect of diabetes prevention and mitigation.
