Effects of inducers on growth and yield of Hericium erinaceus

  • In this paper, 7 kinds of inducers (chitosan, methyl jasmonate, gibberellin, NAA, triacontanol, indole acetic acid and2, 4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2, 4-D) ) of different concentration were used by spraying method to study its influence of H.erinaceus growth. The results showed that treated with 0.5 and 1.0 mg/kg of methyl jasmonate could significantly shorten the growth period of H. erinaceus, while the same results could be achieved when 0.05 and 0.5 mg/kg of indole acetic acid was applied (p < 0.05) .As for the result of H.erinaceus prodution, 1.5 and 2.0 mg/kg of gibberellin, 1.0 mg/kg of naphthalene acetic acid, as well as 0.5, 1.5 and 2.0 mg/kg of indole acetic acid could significantly increase the yield of H. erinaceus (p < 0.05) .Among these results, 0.5 mg/kg of indole acetic acid could shorten the growth period of H.erinaceus by 4 days and increase the yield by 22.18% simultaneously, which made it a potential inducer for further application.
