Research Progress of Chemical Components and Pharmacological Activities of Cinnamomum camphora L.Presl

  • Cinnamomum camphora L. Presl is a traditional Chinese medicine. Its chemical composition includes volatile oil,flavonoids,lignans,polysaccharides and so on. Cinnamomum camphora L. Presl has high development value in food,chemical,pharmaceutical and perfume fields,because it has a variety of pharmacological activities such as bacteriostatic,anti-oxidant,anti-inflammatory,insecticidal,analgesic,anti-cancer. Aiming at the current situations that the main identified chemical constituents,their relevant pharmacological mechanism and the structure-activity relationship are not systematically studied. The researches from 2006 to 2018 on chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of Cinnamomum camphora L. Presl are reviewed and the clinical application and product development are prospected in order to provide reference for further development and utilization of the C. camphora resources.
