Preparation and Performances of Two-Dimensional Supported Ethylene Adsorbent

  • This paper aimed to prepare a two-dimensional sheet of potassium permanganate-loaded ethylene remover for fruit and vegetable transportation and storage. The filter paper fiber was used as a substrate,and the surface was subjected to silicon/aluminum sol modification. The active material potassium permanganate was supported by the dipping method,and the ethylene removal effect of the prepared sample was evaluated by gas chromatography. The microstructure of the sample was characterized by scanning electron microscope(scanning transmission electron microscopy,SEM-EDS). The results showed that silicon/aluminum sol-treated sample was loaded with 20 mg KMnO4,the initial ethylene concentration was 360 μL/L,and the ethylene adsorption rate reached 11.67% and 87.00% in 100 min,respectively. The ethylene adsorption rate of the aluminum sol-treated sample was significantly higher than that of the silica sol-treated sample. SEM-EDS results showed that potassium permanganate could be uniformly dispersed on the aluminum sol,and it existed in the large particle agglomeration state on the silica sol,which was the main factor affecting the adsorption rate of ethylene.
