Research Progress in Exposure and Detection Methods of Perchlorate in Food

  • In recent years,perchlorate as an environmental pollutant has received great attention in food and health fields due to the huge menace to food safety and human health. Herein,this work mainly introduces the hazard of perchlorate to human health,summarizes the exposure of perchlorate in domestic foods including tea,vegetable,milk powder and drinking water,and the concentration limitation of perchlorate in European Union or other countries. Furthermore,eight kinds of detection methods towards perchlorate are specifically highlighted and the prospect of future research directions is also proposed,which may provide a valuable guidance towards future perchlorate on rapid detection,standard formulation,and content limit in food.
