Analysis of the Flavonoid,Polyphenol and Its Antioxidant Activity of 2 Kinds of Sea Buckthorn from Xinjiang

  • This article aimed to compare the flavone content(quercetin,kaempferol and isorhamnetin),phenol content and the in vitro antioxidant capacity(DPPH free radical scavenging ability,ferric ion reducing antioxidant power assay,reducing power,total antioxidant capacity and Fe2+ chelating activity) of two kinds of sea buckthorn by spectrophotometry analysis and UPLC method. The contents of flavone and phenol in sea buckthorn A were(7.02±0.19),(5.48±0.42) mg·g-1,respectively. The contents of flavone and phenol in sea buckthorn B were(9.56±0.53),(24.33±1.44) mg·g-1,respectively. The results showed that the contents of flavone and phenol in sea buckthorn B were markedly higher than those of sea buckthorn A. The IC50 of DPPH free radical scavenging rate for sea buckthorn A and sea buckthorn B were(128.953±0.098),(7.521±0.027) μg·mL-1,respectively. When the concentration was 1 mg·mL-1,the FRAP,T-AOC,reducing power and Fe2+ chelating activity of sea buckthorn A were(0.5611±0.0042) mmol·L-1,(6.0457±0.3402) U·mL-1,(0.2071±0.0113) and(0.3003±0.0164),respectively. In addition,the FRAP,T-AOC,reducing power and Fe2+ chelating activity of sea buckthorn B were(0.4853±0.0067) mmol·L-1,(4.5318±0.1553) U·mL-1,(0.2399±0.0104) and(0.8851±0.0077),respectively. In the antioxidant capacity,there was no significant difference between the two kinds of sea buckthorn,and the antioxidant capacity of sea buckthorn B was slightly better than that of the sea buckthorn A. The contents of quercetin,kaempferoll and isorhamnetin in sea buckthorn A were(0.9438±0.0403),(0.1194±0.0153),(1.0727±0.0406) mg·g-1. The contents of quercetin,kaempferoll and isorhamnetin in sea buckthorn B were(0.9438±0.0403),(0.1194±0.0153) and(1.0727±0.0406) mg·g-1. The contents of quercetin and kaempferoll in sea buckthorn B were higher than those of sea buckthorn A,but the content of isorhamnetin in sea buckthorn B was markedly less than that of the sea buckthorn A. In summary,the sea buckthorn B had better antioxidant activity,and higher amounts of total flavone and total phenol.
