Introduction to Science and Technology of Food Industry

Science and Technology of Food Industry is a Chinese academic journal which comprehensively reports the research progress of food science and food industry technology. Founded in 1979, Sci. Technol. Food Ind. is sponsored by both China National Light Industry Council and Beijing Industrial Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. Being a national comprehensive science and technology journal, Sci. Technol. Food Ind. has been rated as an Excellent Journal of Light Industry, Outstanding S&T Journals of China and "Outstanding Contribution Unit" of Beijing Food Institute.

Sci. Technol. Food Ind. is a semimonthly publication targeted both domestically (CN 11-1759/TS) and internationally (ISSN 1002-0306). Each issue contains 368 pages on average and the annual published papers reach to 1400. Until now, Sci. Technol. Food Ind. has been indexed by various databases including CA, FSTA, JSTChina, CSTPCD, GCJC,RCCSE, SinoMed, China Core Agricultural and Forestry Journals A, CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP Data, Chaoxing Data, Bookan Data, etc.


In the annual report on the impact factors of “Chinese academic journals(Natural Science and engineering technology, 2020 Edition)” published in October 2020, the impact index (CI value) of the journal ranked the second among the 51 "food science and technology" journals in China, which was located in Q1 area. The RCCSE report published in the same month showed that the journal level was the first in category A. In the index retrieval report of “Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports (Natural Science)” published in December 2020, the total score of core comprehensive evaluation ranked the second.


Sci. Technol. Food Ind. has a unique position in China's food journals in terms of influence, subscription and advertising feedback. The advertising business is the effective method to find materials, equipment, exhibitions and other information. The scientific research forum is a bridge to boost " industry-university-research cooperation". The media service is an information helper to help multinational companies realize localization.
